Summary: On arrival at Bowman's Big Island Guest House there is an immediate sense of tranquility. You are welcomed by a peaceful farm environment surrounded by jungle. The guest house is cozy but well appointed and has everything you need. With a large fridge, induction cooktop and outdoor grill you can cook when you feel like it, or take a short drive to the nearby restaurants. We loved being able to feed the fish, wander the farm, have outdoor space for the kids to play, and relax as the sun set to the sounds of birds and coqui frogs. Kent and Melanie were amazing hosts and gave us excellent advice on how to maximize our vacation. The guest house is perfectly located if you want to see the volcano, see where lava flows meet the sea, or check out the farmer's markets between Pahoa and Hilo. We had an amazing and very relaxed vacation and would absolutely recommend this place for anyone considering a visit to Big Island!
