This house is the perfect place for your stay in the beautiful mountains of Southwest Virginia. Located just outside of Galax, home to the annual Fiddler's Convention and a stop on the New River Trail, you can enjoy a quiet stay with views of the mountains outside every window.
This 2-bedroom home has all the charm of an older mountain house with the modern amenities to make your trip comfortable.
Built in the 1930s, most of the first floor has the original hardwoods, recently refinished to bring out their charm. It also has the amenities expected for today's guests. The kitchen, laundry room and bathroom were all completely renovated in 2026, including all new appliances.
A large, acre-and-a-half lot affords privacy and some space to enjoy the outdoors. While inside free wifi, board games and a fooseball table help keep your group entertained.
The downstairs bedroom has bunk beds, perfect for kids or adults. While upstairs, an attic-turned-living space affords a little more privacy with a spacious bedroom sporting pine floors and a comfortable bed.
The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans and dishes, and a grill outside makes it easy to make dinner here and eat in the dining room.
Sheets, towels, and basic toiletries (soap and shampoo) are also provided for all guests.
The house is easy to get to, just about a mile off the four-lane (but not busy) highway 58. Straight roads, no windy mountain lanes, and it's always plowed regularly as the road is a main access point for emergency vehicles.
