The Neighborhood:
KaMilo is a walkable upscale community of larger units. The two-acre amenities center has a family pool, a lap pool, two hot tubs, gym - and on the other side of the neighborhood there is a putting green.
Stay in this luxury townhouse includes a Club Card that gives access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club. The Beach Club beach bay is protected and has cabanas and recliners available on a first come basis. Napua, an upscale restaurant and bar located right by the sandy beach.
The beautiful beach at the Fairmont Orchid Hotel beach is less than a mile away. There is also a trail that leads over to Puako.
Getting Around:
The Big Island has much to see and do and it is highly advised that Guests rent a car to take advantage of the many things this island has to offer. Hawaii Island does not have abundant public transportation, so renting a car is best. However, if you do not drive you may consider hiring a charter tour, driver, or Uber.

Summary: We enjoyed the house - it was clean and everything was in good repair. Plenty of space for our group of 8. Beds were comfortable, and it was stocked with baby/small child equipment. The kitchen had everything we need to cook all our meals. The garage had plenty of beach equipment - chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, floats, snorkel stuff (we brought our own, so I can't speak to the quality or sizes), and 5 adult bikes and one child's bike and a small scooter -- and still room for two vehicles. The property manager was responsive and helpful. We've stayed at a number of houses in Ka Milo and this was one of the best; would return for sure.
