Seahorse Sea is a spacious waterfront home on a quiet street with wide views of the Gulf, the bay, the Intracoastal Waterway, and the open natural area where birds gather. The living room, kitchen, and dining room all look out toward the Gulf and the Intracoastal Waterway, giving guests beautiful water views and a front row seat to watch barges move through the channel. Both the front and rear decks offer the same wide water views, and the master bedroom has peaceful views of the bay and the barges.
The house sits directly on a canal with a private dock for boats and jet skis, and guests can fish or crab right from the dock. The canal can get shallow at lower than normal low tides, but it works well for jet skis and small boats most of the time. It is a short walk to the beach and a short walk to the Intracoastal Waterway, where you can fish along the shoreline or watch the barges pass by. A boat ramp is located at the end of the street, and another public ramp is about five minutes away at the state park.
The home sleeps 16 and includes a king ensuite master with jacuzzi tub, multiple queen over queen bunks, and plenty of room for families and groups. Major attractions such as Moody Gardens and the Historic Pleasure Pier are on Galveston Island, and the fastest way to get there is to bypass the vehicle line, go directly to the parking lot, park, walk onto the ferry, enjoy watching the dolphins while crossing the water, order a ride share during the crossing, and then walk off, get in, and go enjoy the fun. The setting is peaceful while still close to everything Crystal Beach offers.
All homes on the Bolivar Peninsula are elevated, and stairs are required for entry. If it is an emergency, call 911 first. For non emergency matters, guests can contact the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office at 409‑766‑2322, and the Crystal Beach Volunteer Fire and Rescue at 409‑684‑6311.
The canal behind the house can get shallow at lower tides, but paddle craft and jet skis usually have no issues and can be kept at the dock. We recommend not swimming in the canal. The kitchen is set up for cooking, but no food, condiments, or seasonings are provided. Weather and wind conditions can vary along the coast, and Wi Fi performance may be affected during storms.
There is no public transportation on the peninsula, and rideshare services are not reliably available, so guests should plan to drive during their stay. Golf carts are not provided, but rentals are available locally.
The primary guest must be at least 25 years old and stay for the entire reservation. Maximum occupancy must not be exceeded at any time. Only registered guests are allowed on the property. Respect the neighbors and keep noise to a reasonable level at all times.
No parties, events, or large gatherings without prior written approval. Any disruptive or unsafe behavior will result in immediate removal from the property. Fireworks are not allowed anywhere on the property.
Smoking and vaping are not allowed inside the home or on the deck. Any evidence of smoking will result in additional cleaning charges.
Pets must be approved in advance. Guests must clean up after pets and keep them off furniture and bedding.
Children must be supervised at all times near the water. Swimming is not recommended off the dock. No diving or jumping from the dock. Do not tie boats or jet skis in a way that blocks the canal. Fishing from the dock is allowed, but please keep the area clean and safe for all guests.
Park only in designated areas. Do not park boats, trailers, or vehicles on the grass. Charging electric vehicles or golf carts is not allowed without prior approval.
Do not move indoor or outdoor furniture. Do not clean fish inside the house. Do not flush anything other than toilet paper. Report any damage immediately so we can address it quickly.
Fresh hand towels, bath towels, and foot towels are provided. Bath towels are for indoor use only. Two loads of laundry detergent and dryer sheets are supplied, including one load specifically for the towels at checkout.
The home has central heating and air conditioning. For proper operation, do not set the thermostat below 70 degrees for cooling or above 75 degrees for heating. Keep doors and windows closed while the system is running.
Wash dishes before checkout. Do not leave food or trash outside, as it attracts wildlife. Place all household trash in the outdoor bins.
Check in and check out times must be followed unless approved in advance. Return all keys and lockbox items to their original location. Complete the checkout list provided in the home.
