Summary: The photos in the listing lead one to believe this rental is in good shape. It isn’t. The kitchen and living room were as shown except light bulbs were burned out in nearly every single fixture/lamp. But upstairs is where things got strange. Excluding the master, which was acceptable, every other room had non-functional lights, non-functional ceiling fans, or a broken bed that was detached from its headboard and sloped towards the ground at the foot of the bed. My daughter and I slept in a secondary room where the bed frame was at least 6inches (maybe 12-inches) longer than the mattress on the bed. None of the bedding looked like what us presented in the listing photos, and I ended up buying new pillows/cases, and new white towels for friends who stayed with us for the horse show at the Horse Park because I felt so bad about not only the presentation of this property but it’s cleanliness. I bought bleach wipes for every bathroom, I spent over 60 to replace burned out light bulbs and make the bulbs that were present at least mostly uniform in color and type for the bathrooms. Some of the light fixtures were just broken and wouldn’t work even with new bulbs.The back door to the deck was jammed outward and extremely hard to open, and deck furniture hasn’t been cleaned or used in ages. The kitchen was poorly stocked with random mish-mash of glassware that was insufficient for 4 adults and 1 kid. Location to KHP was great, very kind neighbors and cute town.
