Welcome to “Kailana” (Sea and Sun roughly translated from the Hawaiian), our beautifully maintained and tastefully furnished very private happy place, that sits right on the Village Golf Course at Waikoloa! Kailana is a perfect couples retreat, featuring a one bed (King size), one bath unit, that will tantalize you with her sunset views at the end of the day making this the spot you want to call ‘home’ on the Big Island. Kailana has delighted visitors to the Waikoloa area for many years as a very successful vacation rental with a 4.9 Customer satisfaction rating on VRBO from over 120 Guest reviews.
We recently purchased this slice of heaven from a very good friend of ours. We’ve enjoyed many stays here at Kailana over the years. Every time we visited the Big Island we fell under the spell of its beautiful views.
Kailana features a single bedroom, well-appointed bathroom, washer and dryer, a stocked kitchen, a relaxing great room, and views to beautiful sunsets. Included in the primary bedroom closet is a luxury twin mattress that can be placed on the living room floor if you have a child with you. The outside Lanai is accessed by a sliding glass door that takes you out to a view that faces west towards the Ocean and the best sunsets on the Big Island! Outside on the lanai are two lounge chaises and a dining table with 4 chairs. In addition to these amenities, Kailani also has a “smart” television, full Wi-Fi service along with a closet full of beach goodies such as towels, mats, boogie boards, coolers etc. Fun activity amenities include a full-size pool and tennis courts across the street for your use (no charge) and the Golf Course that you look out to through your condo windows is available with reduced fees (half price) as you would be our guests. You are also 5 minutes away from amenities such as groceries, restaurants and gasoline.
The kitchen includes two refrigerators, one brand new full size and the other a mini fridge (turn it on if you wish to use it) to store your sodas, beers etc. The kitchen also features a brand-new stove/cooktop, brand new dishwasher, toaster oven, brand new coffee maker, brand new toaster along with a brand new blender. There is an array of cooking utensils, pots and pans. All major appliances have been recently replaced in May of 2023. All the kitchen countertops are granite. The King size bed and pillows were recently replaced as were the new linens and towels for the bedroom, bath, and kitchen.
The furniture in the great room is made of tropical hardwood and the seating is upholstered with leather. The entire interior was recently painted, and the interior décor is styled in a relaxing Asian theme. Parking is available with a designated “F211” parking spot in the condo parking lot or, (as we do) park right in front of the condo on the street.
Many beaches and luxury hotels are within a 15 minute to a one-half hour drive from the condo. Some of our favorite beaches are Mauna Kea Beach, 49 Black Sand Beach, Puako, Beach 69, Hapuna and many others…
