Elegant and exotic, the décor in Blue Kehena hearkens back to both missionary Hawaii and early influences of plantation workers from Japan with sturdy antiques, Asian influences, dramatic artwork and evocative modern furniture. Comfort is the foremost influence in the beds and lounge pieces in the home. Rich Koa wood panels, ceiling height doors and unique antiques grace each room of the 4 bedroom retreat.

There are 4 bedrooms, two upstairs and two downstairs. Each downstairs bedroom has a queen size bed, ensuite bathroom and separate outside entry door. The upstairs bedrooms are artful and have lush, tree-top views one with a king size bed and one with a queen size bed, gorgeous garden views and a shared bathroom on the hallway. Our kitchen is fully stocked and we have dining both inside and outside on the large lanai.
Blue Kehena's private yard will amaze you with tropical trees, flowers and a private outdoor shower. Our small neighborhood is perfect for strolling on quiet streets, enjoying bird songs and finding exotic tropical plants. Ours is an Eco friendly house that harvests more energy and water than it consumes. Staying here will immerse you in real Hawaiian living!
Kehena Black Sand beach is just a short walk from the house then hike down the footpath for a unique clothing optional beach treat. Visit Uncle Robert's Night Market a short drive away in Kaimu every Wednesday night for local flavor foods, vendors and live entertainment... a MUST! Sunday drive to the Maku'u Market on Highway 130 for over 100 food, crafts and art vendors and lots of local vibe! The owner's wish is that when you leave Blue Kehena, you will truly feel the spirit of our island and the essence of ALOHA.
