Let your dream tropical vacation begin when you step into the olden days of Hawai’i here at Hale Le’ahi, an illustrious and expansive 3 story plantation board and baton wood-framed estate located on the lower slopes of the world famous Diamond Head Crater on the southern tip of the island of Oahu, minutes to Kahala. This immaculately designed 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom home sleeps up to 10 people, and includes a large outdoor pool, 2 outdoor lanais (porches), and a finely manicured tropical backyard.
The primary bedroom is outfitted with a California king bed, television set, and the private balcony lanai with seating, lighting and views of the private garden, as well as the ocean and mountains in the distance. The primary ensuite includes detailed tile work and marble countertops, as well as dual vanities and a soaking tub with views out to the garden. The primary guest bedroom includes a King bed as well as a large day bed, fit for either lounging or sleeping 1 person, and a kitchenette area with a sink, microwave, mini fridge and breakfast table with stools. There is a sliding glass door with access to the poolside lanai and views of the pool and garden, and access to the guest bathroom which includes a walk-in shower and single vanity. Two more guest rooms both include a queen bed, work area with a chair and desk, closet space, and access to the raised deck on the second floor with views overlooking the garden, as well as to the 3rd guest bathroom with a walk-in shower and single vanity. The last bedroom includes one full bed and one twin bed, sleeping up to 3 people, and access to the 4th bathroom with a walk-in shower and single vanity. Each bedroom is equipped with air conditioning as well as a ceiling fan for optimal temperature control and air flow.
The interior common spaces of the estate on the first floor include the game room, bar and lounge area. The game room includes an interchangeable billiards table and ping-pong table, darts board, and small fridge for drinks. There are a number of stools to relax between games, as well as a large chalkboard for score keeping. The downstairs lounge area includes a television set and couch seating. The open air common spaces of the main central floor allow the tropical trade winds to breeze through the large outfitted kitchen which is adorned with an array of high end cooking appliances, a central island countertop with 4 seats, wine cooler, and an extra large fridge and oven, as well as through the large living room equipped with a television and couch setup, and the indoor dining area with a table that seats 8.
The raised outdoor deck, located on the second floor of the estate, includes a variety of seating arrangements, lighting fixtures and covered spaces for outdoor relaxation rain or shine. There is also a large outdoor dining table that seats up to 8 people so you and your party can enjoy a nice meal throughout the day while overlooking the lush landscape of the poolside, garden and surrounding tropical vegetation. Soak up the sun on the luxurious deck from the bright light of early morning, until the evening sky is lit up with the fiery hues of the Hawaiian sunset. Dive into the crystal clear waters of the large outdoor pool, or wade in slowly via the pool steps, which is surrounded by plenty of beach lounge chairs and a covered table, as well as a variety of tropical flora for uninterrupted privacy while relaxing. After a dip in the pool you can warm up by the poolside gas fire pit equipped with several Adirondack chairs for a cozy gathering.
Outside of the estate, guests can stroll the calm and quiet streets of the neighborhood, which is within walking distance to Cromwell's Beach, and a short drive to other pristine white sand beaches nearby like Kahala Beach and Diamond Head Beach. The home is located just off of Diamond Head Road, giving guests easy access to exploring the urban sprawl of Waikiki and Honolulu, as well as the rest of the beauties that comprise Oahu. Hale Le’ahi is located 5 minutes to Diamond Head Crater as well as the Kahala Shopping Center, 8 minutes to Waikiki, 15 minutes to downtown Honolulu, and 20 minutes to the Honolulu International Airport.
